Why Water, Exercise and Rest can be the Best Hangover Cure

We often see hangover cures advertised in our local liquor store or super market. Many of these products have ingredients such as Vitamin B or Prickly Pear Cactus Extract. And sure, these ingredients have been proven to help some with hangovers. But in many cases your best bet is to simply enjoy a little water, exercise and rest.

When you wake up with a headache from a hangover in most cases it is because you are dehydrated. By drinking water you not only eliminate your dehydration, you also flush the poisonous alcohol toxins from your body and cleanse your system. However, this many not eliminate your hangover entirely.

After becoming good and hydrated take a brisk walk. The fresh air will invigorate your system and the exercise will get your blood pumping. This will allow the alcohol and its ugly bi-parts to be sweat out of your system, leaving your feeling better.

Now that you are hydrated and have enjoyed a little exercise, drink a little more water and relax. Sit back and take a nap. When you wake up you will feel much less hungover and be ready to take on the day.

If you are still hungover after this consider enjoying a banana, orange juice, a Gatorade, fish or ginger ale.
